Product Description
Fog Film Gloss Meter HGM-2000
Product Overview
The HGM-2000 Fog Film Gloss Meter is a precision instrument designed for measuring surface gloss and haze across various materials and applications in industrial and manufacturing environments.
Key Applications
  • Floor maintenance and surface cleaning gloss measurement
  • Stone, ceramic tile, and spray paint surface gloss measurement
  • Paint, ink, coatings, wax membranes, and automotive body paint surface analysis
  • Plastic, paper, and various non-metallic material surface gloss measurement
Measurement Capabilities
Capable of displaying gloss measurements at 20°, 60°, and 85° angles for comprehensive surface analysis.
International Standards Compliance
Designed and manufactured in accordance with international standards including: ASTM D523, ASTM D1455, ASTM C346, ASTM C584, ASTM D2457, ISO 2813, DIN 67530, EN IS 07668, JIS Z8741, MFT 30064, PINPIT 480, GB 9754, GB/T 13891, GB 7706, and GB 8807. Technical parameters meet JJG 696-2002 criteria.
Measurement Principle
Gloss (GLOSS) - Measures the percentage of reflected light. Reflection Fog Shadow (HAZE) - Occurs due to pigment dispersion in coating microstructure, creating an optical effect known as fog. This phenomenon appears as high-gloss surfaces with microscopic particles that scatter light near the main reflection direction, resulting in a milky mist appearance despite high gloss. Lower fog shadow readings indicate better surface quality.
